Racing Mentor and Racing Pride to offer Sponsorship Academy scholarships
With September just around the corner and the start of Racing Mentor’s next Sponsorship Success Academy cohort, I’m pleased to share details of our 2022 scholarship for the LGBTQ+ community. We are once again teaming up with our friends at Racing Pride to offer two fully-funded scholarship places on the course, worth £649 each.
Designed to help drivers take their careers to the next level, the Sponsorship Success Academy teaches the skills and mindset needed to gain sponsorship and grow a brand that will attract fans and sponsors. Running from 1st September for three months, this cohort course provides drivers with the knowledge and practical skills required for a career on track with sponsors that support your vision. Both scholarships are offered at the Plus level of the course, which includes:
Six modules taught across 12 online sessions
Teaching of the Racing Mentor Influential Driver method
A personalised learning plan and progress tracker
Group coaching and direct feedback from the Racing Mentor team
Access to 40+ templates for pitching, proposals, and social media
A supportive cohort learning community platform, and so much more!
Looking back to our inaugural season, the applications for our 2021 Racing Pride scholarship were so impressive that we couldn’t choose just one winner. And so we awarded two places: one to New Zealand endurance series racer Bea Vear and one to Dutch karter Milan Fassotte.
When we spoke with our friends at Racing Pride about a scholarship for 2022, we knew we wanted to honour our two alumni from the inaugural course and increase our support of the LGBTQ+ community within motorsport — this meant two places should be up for grabs once again. Bea and Milan are both trailblazers in their own right and we can’t wait to meet our next winners!
Entry is simple; we encourage you to share this opportunity with your LGBTQ+ racing friends and then nominate anyone you think deserves a fully-funded place (even yourself!) on the course. We serve all sectors of motorsport, whether that be karters or tin top drivers, through to aspiring MotoGP riders, seasoned drifters, or up-and-coming rally drivers. The scholarship is also open worldwide.
Racing Pride Co-Founder Richard Morris is not only an incredible ambassador and innovator for the LGBTQ+ community, he’s continually looking to share opportunities with others. ‘Let’s see everyone win’ is something we’ve heard him say a lot and the Racing Pride Scholarship is something he has worked closely with us on to deliver.
This scholarship offer is a worldwide opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community. Further details about what’s included in the Racing Pride scholarship can be found here: Racing Pride
